Robbers attack a convoy of the Central Bank of Nigeria bullion vans who got caught in a cross-fire.
The theft which occurred at dawn, Tuesday, August 16, along the Hawan Kibo of the Jos – Abuja street saw the robbers kill one cell policeman and yet another officer connected to the bullion van.
The trucks and its escorts of armed cellular policemen left Jos and have been transiting by way of Hawan Kibo – enroute Abuja – where they received caught in a cross-fireplace between the robbers and a patrol workforce from Plateau state.
At the same time donned in navy uniforms, the robbers had emerged from their hiding place in a bush and attacked a patrol van causing a shoot-out with the patrol group and its entourage owned by using the Plateau State protection outfit, “Operation Rainbow”, killing one in all their officers.
